The holiday season can bring a lot of joy—and sometimes a bit of stress. At our Pre-Holiday Wellness Workshop, we explored ways to stay grounded, centered, and energized through the festivities. If you couldn’t join us, here are some of the key takeaways to help you prioritize self-care as we dive into this busy season.

1. Start Your Day with Intention

Each morning, pause for a moment of quiet intention-setting. Take three deep breaths and consider how you want to feel throughout the day—whether that’s calm, present, or joyful.
Begin your day by focusing on the energy you wish to embody, which can help guide your actions and reactions, no matter what the day brings.

2. Create Mini Rituals for Inner Peace

Small rituals, like a quick morning stretch, a cup of tea without distractions, or even a brief journaling session, can work wonders to keep you balanced. These mini moments of mindfulness create a stable foundation, making it easier to return to a sense of peace whenever the holiday hustle begins to take over.

3. Holiday Stress Toolkit: Breathwork, Grounding, and Tapping

Stress management techniques such as breathwork, grounding visualizations, and EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) tapping are essential tools for navigating holiday overwhelm. Practice a quick grounding visualization by envisioning roots extending from your feet into the earth or try EFT tapping to release tension and feel more centered. Simple, accessible techniques can help release the day's stress and bring you back to a calm, present state.

4. Set Boundaries with Love

As social gatherings ramp up, remember that it’s okay to say no. Protecting your energy is a form of self-care. Boundaries allow you to give your best self to the people and activities that genuinely matter to you. Politely decline when needed, knowing that self-care is a priority.

5. Affirmations to Carry You Through

Positive affirmations can help anchor a peaceful mindset. A few favorites from the workshop:

  • “I am grounded, present, and capable.”

  • “I prioritize what feels right for me.”

  • “I have the power to create joy in my day.”

Write down the affirmations that resonate most with you, and place them somewhere visible as reminders throughout the season.

6. Reflect Daily with a Self-Care Journal

Take a few minutes each evening to reflect. Note one positive moment, one challenge, and one thing you’re grateful for. This simple practice can help you maintain perspective and acknowledge your efforts in caring for yourself.
